This morning I jumped on the opportunity to participate in a Photowalk with other area photographers around downtown Phoenix, organized by “HDR Ninja” Mike Olbinski. A “photowalk” is an opportunity to get together with those sharing a common interest in photography, map out a route and shoot photos of just about anything interesting we find along the way. This morning I brought my 9 yr. old daughter Katelyn with me, who has a strong interest in photography to participate with us. Here are a few shots from the Photowalk this morning.
This first one is in Heritage Square. It was still dark outside (early and cold!), no sign of the sun yet.

The sun started to climb over the horizon painting the sky with beautiful tones of blue, purple and pink.

Summer Driggs - Okay, that is so cool! And I love that Katelyn shares the passion and got to come along. I think my favorite one is of the tree silhouette with the sunrise behind it. That is so cool that even though the branches are all black, you can still see the depth of it. It was probably pretty quiet out there that early…that would be neat!
