  • Welcome to the blog…

Thanks for stopping by... kick your feet up, get comfortable and enjoy the blog. I'll take just a second to introduce myself... I am a full time professional photographer based out of Arizona. I am beyond blessed to be able to be doing what I absolutely love and provide for my family. I have an incredibly beautiful wife and 5 little kiddos ranging in age from 1 to 10. I am a Leo (here me roar!) and 33 years young!

In addition to creating amazing photographs, I love teaching the art to others. Having taught photography workshops around the world to hundreds of photographers and in schools - it is always fantastic watching others learn the trade and develop their talents.

My wedding photography is best described as a blend of fine art, with a hint of papparazi and a dash of high fashion resulting in a unique editorial style. This style is closer to the way editorial fashion photographers work and relies on lots of movement and spontaneity for a gorgeous natural feel. Hope you enjoy the blog! Engagement | Steve and Laura

Steve and Laura met the first time while they both attended Northern Arizona University (NAU). Steve played for the football team, Laura was part of the athletic trainers program. So it was only fitting that for their engagement session we incorporated NAU football into the session. It was so fun throwing the football around, watching Laura attempt to tackle Steve and just plan have a good time out on the field. These two are such a wonderful couple. I had an amazing time with them shooting around the city of Chandler and can’t wait for their wedding to do it again. Here are a few of my favorites from their engagement session.

Wedding at Wrigley Mansion | Jared and Shay

What a beautiful wedding! It all took place at the gorgeous and historic Wrigley Mansion near the Arizona Biltmore in Scottsdale, AZ. I knew from the moment I shot the engagement session with Jared and Shaylynn that their wedding was going to be amazing. These two are so laid back, fun and simply amazing. They are also so head over heels in love with each other! The time they spent apart on their wedding day before their ceremony was just killing both of them. At one point they reached around the door to touch each others hand before the ceremony and you could just feel the energy in the room when these two came together. Truly a couple in love!

The day went absolutely perfect. DJ Sarah Birkett put down a wonderful party, the flowers by Wild Child Floral Designs were classy and beautiful, the cupcake cake delicious, everything to perfection! Big shoutout to Chris Frailey and Shannon Karczewski for their assistance as additional shooters. Thank you for visiting the blog. Feel free to leave a comment below, it’s always appreciated.

Engagement | Brian and Meghan

When I first met Brian and Meghan I learned that these two not only have a huge love for each other, but also for the hometown football team – the Arizona Cardinals. In fact, they go to every home game. Brian has the privilege of  running a flag after every score and Meghan (how cool is this) will get all decked out for the games, at times even painting the face. How fun is that! I love couples that have a passion in common and enjoy it together. So as we planned for their engagement session Brian, who works in the stadium on game-day,  mentioned the possibility of shooting part of the session at the incredibly modern enormous football stadium that the Cardinals play in. I think it’s every boys dream to step foot on a real NFL field… well at least it was mine. After Brian made a few calls and got us security clearance, my boyhood dream was fulfilled. Make sure to check out the photos at the end that we shot in the stadium. We had such a great time there. Looking forward to working with Brian and Meghan again later this Spring when they marry at the beautiful Millennium Resort in Scottsdale.

Wedding at Ocotillo | Katie and Chris

I have absolutely loved this couple since the day I met them. Both, Katie and Chris are so genuinely nice. I remember when the wedding planner first contacted me mentioning she wanted me to meet them she said, “You are going to love this couple!” She was absolutely right. Their wedding took place at the beautiful Ocotillo Golf Resort in Chandler, AZ. One of the things that had me laughing throughout the night was this magical pair of yellow sunglasses that kept getting passed around. Apparently whoever they landed on – was the focus on the dance floor. Yep, at one point they even landed on me. It was quite funny to watch and you’ll see the theme represented in some of the photos below. The night was perfect! Big  to Sean and Michelle from Surefire Photography for second shooting me with that day. Hope you enjoy the photos!

Engagement Session | Noelle and Alex

You know what I love about Alex and Noelle? These two live together, work together for the same small company, commute to work together – in short they are with each other pretty much all day…. and yet after many years together have never grown tired of it. That is something special. Even I asked them if they ever feel like they need some time apart – to which Noelle replied, “Well yes, Sunday’s he watches football and I get out of the house!” Lol! Love these two. Had such a blast with them shooting their engagement photos around Scottsdale. Can’t wait for their wedding at the beautiful Arizona Grand Resort. Here’s a sneak peek into their session…

The night Alex proposed they were at Gainey Ranch in Scottsdale. They mentioned that they wished they had a camera with them or a friend to snap photos of the evening. I then replied, “Let’s recreate the magic. Show me where and how it happened.” Watching the two recreate the moment was so cute. I could see the excitement on Noelle’s face. These two are seriously so incredible. Afterwards they boarded a gondola for a ride – just as they did the night of the proposal.
